My wife Sandra & I are flying to Hobart for a long weekend on Nov 1st. We get back on the pre-Melbourne Cup Monday. We are staying at Wrest Point, I’ve booked dinner in the Revolving Restaurant on the first night. Sandra has big problems with sciatica so she isn’t very mobile but I’ve been advised to get up Mt Wellington where there is snow and great views. Any other tips, anybody?
My pal Scott and I love riding our bikes ( actually his bikes, he owns two, I am currently bikeless) from Yarraville to Altona and back. It’s all just about flat and nearly all on the bike track. You range a lot farther afield than you would walking and seelots more than you do from a car. Great for fitness too. The ride we do is about 42kms total and takes around 2 1/2 hours.
